Lots of people move from all over the world to live and work in London. Sometimes it’s hard to live in a place where everyone speaks a foreign language. Our students often say, “everyone speaks fast in London”, “I don’t understand the London Underground”, and “I know what I want to say but I don’t feel like I can talk to native speakers”. This course is designed to give you the skills you need to live, make friends, and achieve your goals in England.

Most of our students on the London Residents English Course at Nacel are working as au pairs. They want to make the most of living here and fit studying English in around working as a nanny. But it’s not just an au pair English course, to get the cheaper, subsidised English lessons on the London Residents course, you just need to be living or working here already. We teach everyone from cleaners and graphic designers to IT technicians and entrepreneurial business owners.

Our school is located on a main road with lots of buses, 2 minutes away from Finchley Central underground station on the Northern Line, so it’s very easy to get to and in a friendly, safe area in North London.

Joining our London Residents English Course gives you free access to our social programme - every week our teachers take groups of students to visit London landmarks or enjoy English activities together like afternoon tea or a trip to the pub! It’s a great way to meet new friends and practise English. If you study with us for 3 weeks or more, you also get access to our online e-learning course which you can use to get extra practice at home at any time, day or night.
